andraste@gmail.com BioI'm Australian, female, and work in the charitable sector. I am a Pagan, although it's more a lifestyle than a religion as I don't believe in deity. I have no kids and don't plan any. I live in a suburb of Melbourne with my long-term partner and our cat Oliver. I love to read, knit and write. Having just come out of a period of several years of depression, I am profoundly grateful to be able to enjoy life. I believe in love in all its colours. I wear my heart on my sleeve.
Stuff I dislike: drama; emotional blackmail; manipulation; people who try to convert me to anything, whether that be religion, Macs, vegetarianism or Amway; the new dark era of religious and political ultra-conservatism we seem to have entered; reality TV; being overworked.
Stuff I like: spending time with friends; balance; Being Nice; trying to get along with other people, or else Leaving Them Alone if that's impossible; historical oddities and trivia; good food and good company; creating things.
Feel free to friend me, but I don't automatically friend back, so please don't get insulted if I don't do so as it's probably nothing personal but more time constraints. Also, be aware that this journal will contain adult elements, including strong language and adult themes. Bwa-hey.
